About

Lyrical violinist Susan Holloway is a passionate artist whose playing captures the essence of music, allowing the listener to hear with the heart and feel with the soul.  Holloway’s music has a universal appeal, garnering over 3 million YouTube views, 106,000 Facebook followers, and 55,000 followers on Instagram.

Growing up in Memphis, Holloway displayed prodigious talent from a young age. She toured with a group of young artists who performed classical music at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy  Center, and other historic venues around the country.

As she came of age amid the Memphis music scene, her tastes continued to expand. She internalized the flavors of jazz, rock, soul, blues, and gospel surrounding her, incorporating them into her own musical style.

Holloway gravitates towards songs with deeply emotional lyrics, such as Queen’s We Are the Champions, Al Green’s “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” and Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.  Using her violin as her voice, she masterfully coaxes the strings to “sing” what she is feeling.  Holloway’s latest release, Dream On is a collection of classic rock songs that showcases her artistry and passion to the fullest.

Using her violin as her voice, she masterfully coaxes the strings to “sing” what she is feeling.
